知能機能システム学位プログラムは、人々が安心して安全にしかも快適で豊かな暮らしを送るために必要な工学システムを作り出す世界的研究環境と、時代のニーズに即した最先端の研究開発に果敢に取り組むことができる人材を育てる先進的教育体制を整えています。

また、知能機能システム専攻では、最短1年間で博士（工学）の学位が取得可能な早期修了プログラム、所定の在学年限の範囲内で修業年限を延長し教育課程を履修することを認める長期履修制度など、社会人の学位取得を応援するための取り組みを実施しています。

The Degree Programs in Intelligent and Mechanical Interaction Systems is a bold approach to a world-class research environment that creates the engineering systems needed for people to live a safe, secure, comfortable and flourishing life.
Before applying to the IMIS, we recommend you to select labs of interest by making a contact with professors, attending an seminar for working people, or attending an Open Campus to showcase our world-class research and give potential students a glimpse of our research environment.
We are implementing a curriculum that allow students to complete the Doctoral program in a minimum of one year. We have introduced an early completion program that has established an efficient and systematic coursework on thesis preparation and guidance so that working members of our society with a certain level of research achievements can obtain a doctoral degree in a minimum of one year.
We are also implementing a long-term registration system that allows students to complete a master's program and doctoral program in a period longer than usual.
