境野翔准教授がIEEE IES Best Conference Paper Awardを受賞Associate Professor Sho Sakaino received IEEE IES Best Conference Paper Award.システム情報系知能機能工学域の境野翔准教授が、IEEE IES Best Conference Paper Awardを受賞しました。この賞は2021年にIEEE Industrial Electronics Societyで発表された全カンファレンス論文において最も優れた論文に対して与えられるものです。 受賞対象論文 Sho Sakaino: “Bilateral Control-Based Imitation Learning for Velocity-Controlled Robot,” in Proceedings of the 30th IEEE International Symposium on Industrial Electronics, pp. 1-6, 2021.

PRESS RELEASE: Rapid and Flexible Finger Prostheses Made with a 3D PrinterPRESS RELEASE: Rapid and Flexible Finger Prostheses Made with a 3D PrinterResearchers at the University of Tsukuba create a new method to fabricate finger prostheses with 3D printing technology. Finger amputation is the most common amputation of the limbs. However, prostheses for patients with finger amputation are frequently excluded from the support of social and welfare programs. Researchers at the University of Tsukuba and the University of Tsukuba Hospital address this issue by fabricating finger prostheses with consumer-level digital fabrication tools such as desktop 3D scanners and 3D printers. The method they devised enables the creation of prostheses that match the shape and contour of the recipient’s remaining fingers and limb with very low cost and a very short waiting time. […]
